October 6, 2017 Lynn Weathington joined outstanding Kiwanian and husband, Neil, to celebrate his being awarded a Zeller. Lynn informed us she and Neil have been married almost 5 years and he still kisses her every morning before he leaves for work.
Richard Dixon brought prospective member Ashley Weiler, Director of Development for UWG Athletics. A graduate of the University of Illinois, Ashley has already submitted her application! Jared Griffies invited Colleen Jones, Assistant Principal at Central High School. A graduate of Berry College Colleen is a wife, mother, and an outstanding educator who was chosen Teacher of the Year. Fred Richards brought two special friends: Dr. Mary Beth Scalice Lord and George Stoddard. Visiting from Milton, MA, Mary Beth is an author, poet, and founder of the Foundation of Open Hearts and for 30 years has been a teacher of A Course in Miracles. George, once the Treasurer of our club, lives in Utah with his wife Cherie. George was recently recognized by the state of Utah for his twenty years of advocating for the LGTBTQ community and years ago was a founder of Positive Response here in Carrollton. _ |
